OUR VEGGIES
During our non-stonefruit season, we attend markets less frequently. However, on the days that we do set up our stall, we like to have a range of farm fresh and homemade produce for our loyal customers.
Thus we grow vegetables like broadbeans, garlic and pumpkin.
All our veggies are hand planted, weeded and harvested.
We’re always open to suggestions from customers on their veggie preferences so feel free to come by our stall and have a chat to us!
BROAD BEANS
We grow Broad Beans as they are not usually a readily available produce and we like being different! This allow our customers to have a BROADer range of veggies in Spring.
Broad bean leaves and flowers are edible too and make a great salad and stir fry – that way nothing goes to waste!
Fun fact: Broad beans are such hardy plants the seedlings come up during autumn and brave harsh winter frosts to keep growing up to produce beans in spring.
PUMPKINS
Our Jap pumpkins have an intense orange colour and flavour – great for baking, grilling, making stew, mash, soup and bread!
Our secret is we source open pollinated seeds as we believe they have better flavour than the hybrid seeds (sterile).
We have young pistachio trees planted and expect our first (small) harvest in autumn 2024.
We hope to have our pistachios available for customers to purchase in 2025.
